Description

The one-of-one production sample is a miniature version of the iconic large-format Cavaliers mural on Carnegie Avenue near Rocket Arena in downtown Cleveland.

The arrival of James Harden to the team in February changed the roster overnight. Alongside Evan Mobley, Donovan Mitchell, and Jarrett Allen, he became part of the Cavs brand new core four, and the banner needed to lock that new roster in with a familiar rally cry: "LET EM KNOW."

At first glance it reads as black and white, a deliberate choice. But look closer and the wine and gold on the uniforms are the only colors left, quietly showing through a treatment that pulled everything else to grayscale. The result feels historic and current at the same time, tied to everything that came before it while still being unmistakably now. The four poses were chosen to depict movement, each one selected so their silhouettes lock together across the panel, the group reading as a single unit in motion.

At roughly 6 feet wide and 4 feet tall, this proof is over thirty times smaller than the finished banner, which stretches 209 feet wide and 109 feet tall on the building itself, close to five NBA courts' worth of surface.

The fabric/vinyl construction mirrors the material used for the full-scale installation. This mini proof is the color-match check pulled before the full-scale run went to print, the only physical artifact from the sprint that got this core four onto the side of a building before 2026 Playoffs tipped off.

Dimensions: 92” in length by 49” in width.
